Parya Saberi, PharmD, MAS, MFA, AAHIVP

Principal Investigator

Dr. Parya Saberi is an Associate Professor at the Division of Prevention Science in the Department of Medicine at the University of California, San Francisco. She is also currently an expert consultant at the National Clinicians' Consultation Center's HIV Warmline, PEPline, and PrEPline (nccc.ucsf.edu).

Greg Rebchook, PhD

Co-Investigator

Dr. Rebchook is Professor at the Division of Prevention Science in the Department of Medicine at the University of California, San Francisco. Dr. Rebchook is the Division of Prevention Science Community Engagement Core Director. He is also the Associate Director of the Community Engagement Core on a NIMHD-funded Research Coordinating Center to Reduce Disparities in Multiple Chronic Diseases. He directs the UCSF CDC-funded Prevention Research Center.

Starley Shade, PhD MPH

Dr. Shade is Professor of Epidemiology and Biostatistics and Acting Head of the Division of Infectious Disease and Global Epidemiology.

Mallory Johnson, PhD MA

Co-Investigator

Dr. Johnson is professor of medicine and nursing at UCSF and a licensed clinical health psychologist. He is the Director of the NIH-funded Center for AIDS Prevention Studies (CAPS) and Co-Director for the UCSF-Bay Area Center for AIDS Research (CFAR), for which he directs the Developmental Core and Bio-Behavioral Core.

Dr. Harris is an Associate Professor of Nursing in the Department of Community Health Systems, School of Nursing, at the University of California, San Francisco.

Beth Bourdeau, PhD, MFT

Co-Investigator

Dr. Bourdeau is an Academic Specialist in the Department of Medicine's Division of Prevention Science at the University of California, San Francisco. She is currently the Deputy Director of the CDC-funded Prevention Research Center and Project Director for two HRSA-funded multisite initiatives (Rapid Start ART, 2iS) and the CDC-funded implementation study (INVITE-Home).

Alicia Bolton, PhD

Qualitative Analyst

Dr. Bolton is an expert in qualitative research methods and has served as the ethnographer on multiple federally-funded studies leading the qualitative data collection and analysis efforts.

 

Michelle Palomares, MPH

Quantitative Analyst and Data Manager

Ms. Palomares is a Data Manager with the Center for AIDS Prevention Studies and received her Master's degree in Epidemiology from Tulane University.

 

Jonathan Van Nuys, RN, MS, NP-BC

Study Clinician

Mr. Van. Nuys is a patient-focused, bilingual Spanish speaking and UCSF-trained NP possessing HIV specialty training who excels in providing empathetic patient-centered interdisciplinary care to culturally and economically diverse patient populations. He has vast and robust experience in HIV care, Hepatitis C treatment, PEP, PrEP, STI management and DoxyPEP.

Erin Moore, BA

Project Coordinator

Ms. Moore is an experiences research coordinator with eight years' experience in research, counseling, and administrative roles in randomized, clinical trails.

 

Jen Shockey, MPH

Curriculum Developer

Jen Shockey has a Master's degree in public health and is a California-certified test counselor. They have been a trainer and intervention developer for more than 20 years with the Alliance Health Project and the California HIV/STD Prevention Training Center.
