As part of Aim 1, we conducted 1-hour interviews with participants to better understand their experiences with Cabenuva and to guide the development of the Home-Based Study.
These interviews were conducted via Zoom and led by the Qualitative Interviewer, Alicia, and Study Clinician, Jonathan. The goal was to gather insights into participants’ Cabenuva experiences in order to improve future program delivery.
All Aim 1 interviews were concluded by April 2025.
Eligibility for participation (at the time of recruitment):
- Over 18
- A patient at Ward 86, 360 Wellness, Women's Clinic, or the Adult Immunology Clinic at Highland Hospital
- Prescribed Cabenuva and completed the first dose without any major issues
- Able to identify a support person (i.e., family, friend, or partner) who knows about their HIV status (or feel comfortable telling) who is willing and eligible
- Sufficient fluency in English to understand and respond to interview questions
